v0.1.0October 23, 2026

First public release

Agents

  • Claude Code: session state, rules before every tool call, remote approvals via PermissionRequest.
  • Codex: session state and approvals through Codex’s own hooks (trust them once with /hooks).

Policy

  • YAML rules with glob match and optional CEL when; allow, ask, deny — any deny wins.
  • User, repo (only after you trust the repo) and built-in self-protection rules.
  • pilothouse policy init, check, test, replay, trust/untrust, status.

Routing and approvals

  • Presence-aware routing from OS idle time, with here / away / auto overrides.
  • First answer wins; allow once, allow for session, deny with a message.
  • Hold limit below each agent’s hook timeout; hand-back to the terminal when you return.

Phone and notifications

  • Installable web app served by the daemon; pairing by QR; per-device P-256 signed decisions.
  • pilothouse remote tailscale for HTTPS on your tailnet via Tailscale Serve.
  • Web Push, ntfy with signed Allow/Deny buttons, Slack/Discord webhooks, desktop notifications.

Terminal

  • Terminal inbox (pilothouse), ls, approve, deny, log, explain.
  • Wrap mode: pilothouse run with detach (ctrl+\) and attach; survives closed terminals and daemon restarts.
  • Tasks: pilothouse task new → worktree + branch + agent; diff, done --pr, abandon.

Platform

  • Single binary for macOS and Linux, amd64 and arm64; launchd / systemd user service.
  • No telemetry; anonymous, opt-out update check.
